Seismicia
Seismicia was filmed on 16mm with analog double exposure during a real earthquake. In this site-specific work, queer identity flows beyond binaries: dissolving, expanding, and breaking free from linear time.
Seismicia captures how seismic tremors and fragmented memories dissolve the self—awakening a fluid, queer presence and a sense of timeless unity. With Seismicia, I channel the seismic energy of earthquakes to explore the fluidity of queer identity and self-acceptance. Created at CASA SNOWAPPLE in Mexico City with a predominantly queer and female team, this work invites movement, transformation, and resonance—amplifying voices that break boundaries and envision a more inclusive world.
